Mackmyra AI:02 Intelligens was developed in collaboration with the Finnish technology company Fourkind and Microsoft. It is the first whisky in the world to be produced with artificial intelligence (AI). For this, they used algorithms and the recipes of all Mackmyra whiskies that have been released so far, the sales figures for them and some other parameters to create 70 million recipes that could potentially be successful. AI:02 is the second of the five selected recipes in the series. The idea to distil a Swedish whisky was born during a skiing trip of eight friends in 1998. Everyone brought a bottle of whisky and so the conversations were all about whisky. This gave rise to the Mackmyra Bruk distillery, which produces its whisky using only local ingredients and no colouring. The founders have also immortalised themselves in the bottle design: For each of the eight friends, there is a dent - 'a fingerprint, so to speak' - in the lower part of the bottle.
