Malt Riot is a Blended Malt that contains Single Malts from all over Scotland. Whisky from the Glasgow distillery makes up the largest part. Malt Riot tells the story of the people of Glasgow who came together to stand up for what they believed in. In 1725, the government tried to impose a tax on Scotland's malted barley. The Scots rebelled, fearing an increase in the cost of their daily necessities. In Glasgow, they barricaded the malt shops and chased the tax collectors out of the city.
